(62) It’s not as bad as some critics would have you believe, but (like Romero’s Land of the Dead) the throwback Universal logo at the onset is its slickest moment. As a reborn horror-classic, the most frightening thing about Wolfman is the acting. Hopkins adds another tired mark to his list of recent disappointments while Benecio Del Toro delivers an uncharacteristically bland performance.
