(70) Attack of the Clones takes one step forward and two steps back, under performing even The Phantom Menace – despite having more dramatic plot points and action sequences. Its finale, while large in scale, lacks the energetic swordplay of Menace and the visual depth and flare of Sith. What really spoils the stew, however, is a combination of appalling romantic dialogue and its cringe-worthy delivery during the film’s numerous love scenes.
