(64) Of Sam Raimi’s many movies, it’s only with Spider-Man 3 that I’ve known profound disappointment. Danny Elfman must have foreseen this eventuality as he caught the last raft back to shore. My own Spidey-sense started tingling the moment it was announced that Topher Grace would be playing Venom. Ultimately, it was the number of villains – and not the actors chosen – that sank the ship.
