Mama (2013)

Mama (2013)
(73) Mama features plenty of creepy imagery, some interesting ideas, and a talented cast who do the best they can with a screenplay that doesn’t always live up to its concept. The second act is stronger than the first. The terror settles in and Chastain is afforded some real room to shine. Unfortunately, the third act payoff – when all is bared in the open – is far less frightening than the suspense that proceeds it.
