From Dusk Till Dawn (1996)

From Dusk Till Dawn (1996) (78) Long before Grindhouse came this wild collaboration from directors Robert Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino. The two conferred with their creature effects specialist while on an overnight drunk, and the results are splashed across the second half of the feature. From Dusk Till Dawn sets out methodically – a tale of two families running from their pasts, one the other’s captives – and then snaps without hesitation into chaotic B-Movie madness. It’s great fun, and is chock-full of nods and cameos.
