The Beaver (2011)

The Beaver (2011) (85) Don’t let the goofy name steer you off! A family film of sorts, The Beaver is a touching redemption story that seems close to home for troubled leading man Mel Gibson. Jodie Foster flexes her directorial muscles behind the camera and draws impressive performances from her stars, including an early gem from Jennifer Lawrence and a reminder of the great talent we lost in Anton Yelchin. The Beaver is must viewing for dramedy fans, and just about everybody else is likely to enjoy themselves too.
