Star Wars: Episode VI – Return of the Jedi (1983)

Return of the Jedi (1983) (85) Much loathed amongst hardcore fans, Return of the Jedi brings an admirable close to one of cinema’s greatest sagas and holds its own as a standalone science-fiction title. Arguments have been made that its narrative structure differs so significantly from previous episodes that Jedi can’t be rightfully considered canon. The real driving force behind criticism of Jedi seems to stem from an aversion toward the Ewoks and other elements perceived to cater to adolescents. Such would explain why it is so often a childhood favorite.
