Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope (1977)

Star Wars (1977) (93) Some will argue for Star Wars as the seminal science fiction film. While I won’t make that argument, I can’t help but gush with fanboy adoration each and every time that I sit through the film, continuously mouthing its iconic lines seconds before they are delivered. A New Hope, as it was later dubbed, is both the convergence of numerous quotations and the creation of an unrivaled pop-cultural behemoth. Even “Sith Lord” Lucas’ endless additions and edits haven’t diminished the vitality of the Star Wars brand, nor its hallowed place in cinematic history.
