(70) Solo starts out bland, segues into flagrant Firefly rip-off, and only starts to feel like Star Wars in the second half. Even after finding its footing, Solo fails repeatedly to develop Han into the cynical smuggler we meet in Mos Eisley. The opportunities are there, just squandered. Glover makes for a fun Lando, and the rest of the cast ain’t bad either. They’re just not given much to work with.
