(86) As a zombie flick, Shaun of the Dead is much more than mere satire. It acts as both a loving homage (with nods to the best of the genre), and as an awesome horror film in its own right. Shaun was a clearly passion project for Pegg, Frost, and Wright – and it delivers in spades. Whether this initial outing tops the rest of the “Cornetto Trilogy” is a matter up for debate, but the film is unquestionably hilarious, entertaining, and a love letter to horror fans.
