(92) Baby Driver is an impressive showing from the ever-awesome Edgar Wright, and one of the most purely enjoyable films I’ve ever seen. That last line could read like hyperbole, but it’s meant with the utmost sincerity. Baby Driver is clever, funny, has a heart of gold, and offers some of the best car-chase action sequences since Death Proof. Musical montages, deftly woven into the plot, keep toes tapping and will leave you whistling afterwards. The cast of characters is diverse and interesting, and they’re brought to life by fantastic performances all around.
