One Upon a Time in Hollywood (2019) (93) It’s a special experience to watch veteran talent, with nothing left to prove, constructing each scene with an ease that might seem like indifference if not for the amount of love imbued. Once Upon a Time in Hollywood is a leisurely stroll down nostalgia boulevard, diverting down alleyways and into shops as it pleases. Never has Tarantino so indulged in exploration of the periphery, and this cinematic playground allows DiCaprio, Robbie, and company the freedom to own every frame. Some of the best moments are QT’s quirky recreations of period film and television.
